Counting people in crowded places is a specialist task. CENS Systems have their own proprietary video-based people counting software that uses standard CCTV cameras or webcams. The key to success with these applications is to be able to find a viewpiont that allows a coherent datum line to be drawn to count individuals. Our proprietary Bigfoot package is installed with the benefit of our expertise in counting in urban areas. Multiple sites are possible with on-server modelling of people movements within and through an urban area, offering some interesting insights into retail, commercial and other potential within any urban environment.
